Benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH) is commonly known as “enlarged prostate.” BPH is easily diagnosed in our office by history and exam. The severity of the enlarged prostate can be further assessed by using ultrasound or cystoscopy (bladder examination). Lubbock Urology uses the latest medications, minimally invasive procedures and traditional surgery, including transurethral microwave therapy (TUMT) and transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), to safely shrink an enlarged prostate.
